Funny the way God works in our lives! One day I’ll read a daily devotional, then my Bible app will contain something that follows up with what I read. Later that week, a lesson at church will be directly related to both. For example: The lesson last Sunday was “Death Comes.” Adam and Eve experience death because they gave into temptation and sinned after God told them not to eat from the tree of knowledge. Adam said Eve made him eat from the tree. Eve said the serpent made her eat from the tree. Neither one taking accountability for their actions.“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

On Monday, the Bible study I’m doing on the book of James taught something similar.
“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

One of my biggest struggles is temptation, of whether it be my addiction, old lifestyle, friends, or habits, the devil is always trying to tempt me. This week has been filled with lessons on temptation. Thank you God, for letting me hear your word!
